Phuket’s leading integrated destination resort Laguna Phuket has launched a new project tagged as the Angsana Beachfront Residences. The offering is 30 two and three bedroom hotel managed condominium properties.
Since the successful debut of the Twinpalms Residences MontAzure, island developers have been anxious to tap into newly energized demand for condos located next to the beach. What’s interesting is that foreign buyers historically have been more inclined to look at leasehold projects but the landscape has now changed to ownership under condominium title.
Looking back at the Amari Residences Patong and Cassia Laguna Phuket, these were both leasehold structures but slowing sales pace in the tier has not prompted promoters to look at attracting a significant number of Thai buyers which MontAzure has been able to do. Thai’s of course view freehold ownership as a key element when purchasing a property.
The new Angsana project is located in between the namesake resort, and the Movenpick Bangtao Beach in what was formerly the Xana Beach Club parking area. With unobstructed views of Phuket’s famed West Coast, there is little doubt the project will attract significant attention.
It’s understood that pre-launch, 5 units have already been reserved off-market. Pricing points for the units range from THB32 to THB52 million. Sizing for two bedroom units starts at 214 square meters and goes upward in the three bedroom’s to 351 square meters. A custom four bedroom option is available by request.
While the project is all about the views, the units all feature provide pools and decks. On the group and top floor condos, expansive garden areas and terraces are a featured.
Other additionalbenefits are membership in Banyan Tree’s Sanctuary Club, access to facilities of the Angsana Resort and a golf membership at Laguna’s resort course. For owners who want to tap into investment, a rental option is available with 60 days annual usage.
Expect 2017 to see more similar property offerings as Phuket is set to go condo-crazy for oceanfront property.
